Objectives
- Acquire and/or deepen the fundamental theoretical knowledge of the physical principles of Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
- Carry out a reliable examination that is faithful to anatomical and functional reality.
- Improve image quality to secure and guarantee the diagnosis.
Operational objectives
- Why correct centring of the region of interest in the magnet and a proper SHIM matter.
- Patient immobilisation, in particular for wrists.
- Sequence setup and protocol optimisation.
- Adapting all sequence parameters to pathologies, physiology and patient morphology.
- The right response to problems or artefacts on images.
- Tips to shorten sequence times and improve image quality.
- Theory of parameters that are hard to set: bandwidth, turbo factor, spatial resolution, flow compensation, AI, etc.
- Choosing the right acquired and reconstructed pixel size for all sequences.
- Ensuring radiologists receive faithful images that reflect reality.
Target audience
Qualified radiographers and managers in medical electroradiology.
Prerequisites
At least one year of MRI experience. Command of French.
